Crashes
Not really ready for prime time use. It crashes waaaay too often to be useful. Even on my iPhone 6+ it crashes. The other problem is that it is very slow to load images and very choppy. I cant believe they used to charge money for this app. I dont know if its not technically possible to get these to work on phones (they are gigapixel images, after all), but it isnt working on this version.
Needs the annotation palette
The Aperio web viewer for desktop browsers is superior to this because I can draw annotations. This is useless for doing work on my iPad Pro. I had really hoped to use the Apple Pencil to speed up my annotations. Perhaps they will include the annotations palette in the next release. Right now, instead, I have to VPN in, RDP to a Windows box, and jump on either the browser-based web viewer or ImageScope proper. In either case, it would be much more useful than this.
